Another overdue update!

We're sorry we haven't posted in ages. A LOT has been going on and keeping up with the blog got pushed to the end of our long list of things to do! But now my dear sister has threatened to stop posting about her family if I do not break the silence, so that quickly moved updating the blog to the top of the to-do list!

So...to go back to where we left off about three months ago, I believe I promised some kitchen photos. We ripped down the blue flower wallpaper, painted the walls green and the woodwork white. Much better!

A BIG thank you to Jeremy's mom for helping us!

Let's see...what happened next...

Oh yeah - we found out we're HAVING A BABY!!!!!

It was so fun to surprise our family with our news! I told my sister the news a week or so after we found out. I just had to spill the beans to someone!

After several attempts to get together with Dave and Laura we successfully told them our news - although Dave thought it was a joke at first!

Then a week or so after that, on my Dad's birthday, my cousin got married in Junction City. When we got back to my parents' house with a few members of my extended family Jeremy and I gave Dad his present. A pair of baby booties and bib that was supposed to say, "I love Grandpa" but because I accidentally gave him the bib we were going to give Kathy the next day it said, "I love Grandma". OOPS! Oh well - he still got the hint.

The next day we told Jeremy's parents the same way. With the help of Dave and Laura we managed to get their responses on video tape. Maybe we'll figure out how to get some of the video posted. It's pretty funny!

At our first eight week appointment we were pleasantly surprised when the nurse said we'd be able to get a sonogram that day! It was amazing to see our little 2 cm "gummy bear" on the screen and the tiniest heart beating away.

We've since had two more appointments and have heard the heartbeat on doppler twice. The little one is due in early November and we are just so excited to meet him/her! We'll find out the if they're a boy or a girl at our next appointment!

In addition to all of this excitement the company I work for merged with another, I went to Bon Jovi with Jill, Leslie and David, we've had family/friend birthdays, a HUGE 7 family garage sale, have celebrated a few holidays, bought some "big kid" bedroom furniture AND most noteworthy - Jeremy graduated from Baker University with his Masters Degree and has a new job that he loves! Way to go, Babe!

There. Now everyone can see that the only reason you don't post more often is that you really just have very unexciting lives, and nothing much is happening. : P

This officially brings a close to my blog protest. I'll go post now. : )
